Ultrasonic Testing Machine for Engine Valve Inspection

Ultrasonic testing equipment can be used to detect the quality of cone surfacing, friction welding, and internal defects of valves produced by the buyer. Ultrasonic testing is a non-destructive testing method that involves sending ultrasonic pulses into the test object and analyzing the propagation speed and reflection characteristics of the ultrasonic waves in different media to detect internal defects or foreign objects within the object.

 

Performance Parameters of Ultrasonic Testing Machine for Engine Valve Inspection

1.  The equipment should be able to process valves with an outer diameter ranging from 16mm to 50mm.
2.  The equipment should be able to handle valves with a stem diameter ranging from 4.5mm to 9mm.
3.  The equipment should be capable of manufacturing valves with a total length between 80mm and 200mm.
4. The equipment should be able to detect valves with various surfacing thicknesses.
5.  Normal production cycle: Product inspection should be completed within 6 seconds (for valves with stem diameter ≤ 9mm).
6.  Changeover adjustment time should be less than 30 minutes.
7.  The valves should be handled smoothly during transportation on the conveyor, without any dropping or collisions allowed.
8.  Prior to inspection, the valves should be cleaned to ensure a clean surface without any impurities.
9.  During rotational inspection, the valves should be axially positioned to prevent axial movement. The distance between the valve disc end face 

and the inspection probe should be adjustable within a range of 5-20mm.
10. Scratches on the stem are not allowed during the rotational inspection of the valves.
11. The valves should rotate at an angle of no less than 360° during the inspection process.
